The American Visionary Art Museum held a Tibetan Sand Mandala event during the weekend of July 11, 12 and 13th. GWU art therapy student, Erin Graham attended the museum and is seen seated behind the sand mandala.Following their tradition, the monks swept up the colored marble crystals, filled cups with the sand and took the once mandala to the inner harbor dock. The sand was poured into the harbor waters with a healing prayer.
